Birth of Nexus Art

Surrounded by artist friends and guided by her own creative background, she envisioned a dedicated online art gallery for artists - an idea that led to the birth of Nexus Art in 2010.

Over time, she also began curating physical exhibitions alongside the online platform, expanding Nexus Art into a dynamic space for both digital and on-ground engagement.

"For me, art has always been about connection - every artwork carries a story that brings people, cultures, and ideas closer. In recent years, I have seen the global art scene expand with more international fairs, and it makes me proud to see Indian art being represented so strongly.

Ahmedabad too is shaping into an exciting art market, with new galleries coming up and young artists experimenting with fresh ideas. The city is on the verge of a promising cultural shift, and the near future looks inspiring for all of us. As I often say, “This business is like sailing a boat in a desert” - uncertain and challenging, but that’s what makes the journey worthwhile.

What inspires me the most is how contemporary Indian practices are evolving - bold, experimental, yet deeply rooted in tradition. I believe our role is to create spaces that give these voices the visibility they truly deserve."
